Faith Formation is fundamental in preparing strong-faith youth in our parish. Faith Formation Parish Religion Education classes occur every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Students are separated by grade and guided by a catechist in learning more about their faith.

Our diocese requires two years of faith formation classes before receiving First Holy Communion and Confirmation. That means students must be enrolled in faith formation classes in their 1st and 2nd-grade years if they wish to receive First Holy Communion at the end of their 2nd-grade year. Students must be enrolled in faith formation classes during their 9th and 10th-grade years if they wish to receive Confirmation at the end of their 10th-grade year.
If your child has surpassed the regular age for baptism (baby), first reconciliation (2nd grade), first Holy Communion (2nd grade), or Confirmation (10th grade), we encourage you to reach out to the Church Office. Similarly, if your child has not been enrolled in faith formation classes two years prior to their reception of First Holy Communion or Confirmation, please contact the church office for guidance.
If you have any questions, please call the church office or email our Faith Formation Director, Ms. Cynthia Solis Plascencia.
*Please note, if your child is already enrolled in St. John Catholic School, they are exempt from faith formation classes. The school's curriculum is already designed to provide comprehensive faith formation.
