K-12 Faith Formation

Furthering our Youth's Religious Education

Faith Formation is fundamental in preparing strong-faith youth in our parish. Faith Formation Parish Religion Education classes take place every Sunday from 8:40 am until 9:45 am. Students are separated by grade and guided by a teacher(s) in learning more about their faith.

Our diocese requires two years of faith formation classes, prior to the reception of First Holy Communion and Confirmation. That means students must be enrolled in faith formation classes their 1st and 2nd-grade years if they wish to receive First Holy Communion at the end of their 2nd-grade year. Students must be enrolled in faith formation classes their 9th and 10th-grade years if they wish to receive Confirmation at the end of their 10th-grade year.

If your child is past the regular age of reception of baptism (baby), first reconciliation (2nd grade), first Holy Communion (2nd grade), or Confirmation (10th grade), please contact the Church Office. If your child has not been enrolled in faith formation classes two years prior to their reception of First Holy Communion or Confirmation, please contact the church office.

If you have any questions, please contact out K-12 Faith Formation Director, Ms. Cynthia Solis Plascencia, by calling the church office or send her an e-mail

*If your child is enrolled in St. John Catholic School, he/she does not have to attend Sunday faith formation classes. St. John Catholic School's curriculum already includes faith formation.
